The core is one of the most overlooked muscle groups when working out. Many people want upper and lower body success, but do not forget about those abs. With the core involving the spine, and the trunk of your body, there are a lot of benefits you can receive from working on your core. Combined with a healthy low fat diet, here are a few exercises to ensure your success:

The Bridge

The Bridge works your glutes, hips, and lower back. If you are ever having back problems, this is a great exercise for you. Start by lying on a mat with your knees bent and your palms down on the floor. Raise your hips up into the air, so your body forms a diagonal line.

Toe Taps

Another workout you can try are the Toe Taps. Once again, place your palms down on the sides of your body and move your legs back and forth, touching your feet to the ground. You can try 3 sets of 12 or 2 sets of 8.

The High Plank

The High Plank should not be forgotten either. You start in the position of a push-up. Instead of going down, put your knees on the ground and then go back to the plank position. During this workout, you will see strength in your abs, shoulders, glutes, back, and legs. This is actually a pretty great all-round workout. Consider this workout if you are looking for endurance, holding the position for at least 20 seconds at a time.
